Oakland County Hackers Tour Founders
Mike Godoshian and John Kowal, two neighbors from Holly, MI, founded the Oakland County Hackers Tour in 2008.  As you may have read on our home page, Mike and John share a passion for golf AND fun, and were looking to create something a bit different than the typical 9 hole weekly beer league.   The goal of the tour will always be to have fun.  However, we wanted to create something that also allows average weekend golfers a chance to compete in tournament golf.

Mike Godoshian: Co-founder, Director of Operations

Mike Godoshian moved to Holly, with his wife in 2006.   Mike was the spark behind this great idea and his passion for the success of the Oakland County Hackers Tour is evident at every function, tournament, and interaction regarding the tour.   In is role, Mike is the driving force of tour operations.  Further, Mike is the key manager and builder of relationships between The Oakland County Hacker's Tour and our business partners and courses.

Mike enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and daughter, leading his son's cub scout pack, and his church.

John Kowal:  Co-founder, Director of Competition

John moved to Michigan from Northeast Ohio in 1999, and to Holly in 2005 where he lives with his wife, 2 sons, and the family's two dogs.   When Mike first introduced the idea for the tour, John couldn't help but to jump in head first.   As Director of Competition, John is the tour's subject matter expert on rules of play, handicaps, and conditions for each tournament.  John is also charged with finding ways to continuously grow the brand of Hackers Tour Golf and the Oakland County Hackers Tour.

By day, John works as a Program Director for a Web Marketing agency.  In addition to golf, John enjoys spending his time focusing on his family, church, travel, and weight lifting.
